Leamington boss Paul Holleran was left to rue a brief lapse in his side’s game management as National League leaders Rochdale edged through courtesy of an early second-half strike from half-time substitute Levi Amantchi.

“It’s a poor phase of play from us,” said Holleran. “The goal is avoidable. I’ve watched how well we’ve managed them and still been able to look a threat.
“There was lots to like about the performance, but it’s another goal we’ve conceded where, with a bit more game management and aggression, we avoid that moment.”
