This season could hardly have gone any worse for Southampton – but whatever happens at its conclusion, it has been one to remember for James Ward-Prowse.
And despite finding itself at the ‘wrong end’ of the M27 for those of a red and white stripy persuasion, Havant and Waterlooville, National League South promotion chasers, can claim to have played a small part in his rise to the international stage.
