CHELMSFORD City suffered defeat at home for the first time since February when they went down 2-1 to a resurgent Taunton. After a bright opening from both sides, Taunton took the lead on 10 minutes when a cross from the left was headed in from close range by David Sims-Burgess.
City tried to respond and produced a presentable opportunity when Michael Folivi turned in the penalty area but his shot was drilled into the side-netting, although it was close enough for half of the crowd to celebrate the goal mistakenly.
