TORQUAY UNITED returned to Devon with the points courtesy of two second-half goals, but Havant missed a second-half penalty and stay bottom of the table.
The Seagulls were first out of the traps, skipper Asa Hall sliding the ball through to livewire Theo Williams, but the striker slipped and the chance went wide.
At the other end, Ryan Seager had a great opportunity when Rhys Lovett mis-kicked straight to him, but the keeper recovered to make a save.
