Hornchurch have made four signings in one day ahead of their return to National League South.

The Urchins have brought in Mason Terry, Angelo Balanta, Jazzi Barnum-Bobb and Darren McQueen.

Goalkeeper Terry has arrived on a season-long loan from West Ham United. He impressed against Hornchurch last season for Concord Rangers in Isthmian League Premier. The stopper has been on the Hammers’ books since he was nine and won the FA Youth Cup with them last year.

Jazzi Barnum-Bobb has won six caps for St Vincent and the Grenadines alongside an impressive CV in non-league. The defender started at Cardiff City under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before moving to Newport. His three seasons at Chelmsford City across two spells all ended in the play-offs, he’s made the short switch from their Step 2 rivals.

Darren McQueen won National League South with Ebbsfleet United just over a year ago. The forward has departed ‘fleet for a second time to reunite with boss Daryl McMahon.

Chairman Alex Sharp told the official Hornchurch website:

“Darren is a statement of intent from us. He has played at a very decent level and is renowned for his pace and finishing. I think he will give us something different.

“This will be the third time Darren has played under Daryl which I think demonstrates the mutual respect and admiration the two have for each other.”
