HITCHIN maintained their promotion push with victory at the Trico Stadium, skipper Dan Webb scoring the winner 12 minutes from time.
And had it not been for a number of decent saves from home keeper Brad Catlow, it could have been a more convincing victory for the highflying Canaries.
The Redditch shot-stopper saved bravely at the feet of Robbie Burns on the halfhour and then kept out a Webb header five minutes before the break. But he was helpless to stop Hitchin from taking the lead just moments later.
