CAMBRIDGE’S need for points may have been far greater but Weymouth netted a goal in each half to coast this one quite comfortably.
The Terras bossed the opening half, having gone close with an early sighter from Aaron Rodriguez whose volley flew just off target.
Weymouth finally got a deserved opener when Rodriguez showed real class to drive forward and unleash a bullet left-footer from 25 yards.
Following a subdued start to the second half, a mistake from Dean Snedker handed the Terras a second just ahead of the hour-mark.
