WIMBORNE’S Toby Holmes scored the only goal to dent the visitors’ play-off aspirations.
It came on 43 minutes following a mistake, which let Holmes through on the right channel. His clinical finish gave keeper Joe Perry no chance. Almost immediately, Levi Landricombe tried an audacious overhead which Wimborne’s keeper Gerard Benfield just managed to claw away.
Wimborne’s defence, marshalled by impressive new signing Matt Oldring, dealt effectively with Tivvy’s long-ball game.
