■MERTHYR TOWN preserved their play-off bid with two goals in six minutes inflicting a tenth home defeat of the season upon a St Neots Town side fighting to ensure survival in Step Three.
The Saints began in generous mode, gifting their visitors with a second minute opener when defender Taylor Parr, stretching to reach an Ian Traylor cross, only succeeded in turning the ball past his own goalkeeper.
To their credit, St Neots refused to be fazed by this setback and Declan Rogers celebrated his birthday with a 14th minute equaliser after good work by Cambridge United loane...
