■BASINGSTOKE ran out easy winners against Cinderford, helped by the dismissal of Sammie Hicks.
The hosts were given the chance to strike early when Aaron Redford was bundled over by Josh Nelmes. Nana Owusu stepped up to clip the penalty into the roof of the net on eight minutes.
Cinderford tested goalkeeper Kieran Greene with a fierce shot before Hicks forced a two-handed parry.
At the other end Owusu showed dazzling footwork before steering a shot wide and Cinderford replied with James Bloom heading wide.
