EGHAM moved up to sixth in the league with a win that was in doubt until a moment of inspiration just past the hour from Bajram Pashaj.
The first half produced little equality and mirrored the goalless fixture between these two teams earlier this season.
The Sarnies seized the advantage while they were appealing for a foul on Brendan Matthew, the ball bouncing kindly for Pashaj, who duly lashed it past Hanwell keeper Melvin Minter.
