BILLY Tucker scored the only goal of a pulsating game as Bideford started their season in style, downing Didcot Town.
In an even first half, both sides had plenty of chaces – with Bideford’s on-loan star Max Smallcome going particularly close.
Bideford’s goal came shortly after the interval, Ryan Turner was brought down as he surged into the area, and Tucker converted the penalty with aplomb.
