IT IS difficult to deny that struggling Stortford weren’t worth a point at promotion hopefuls Merthyr despite the contrasting starts these teams have had.
The Martyrs never really got going and in truth created very little, while Bishop’s Stortford were always a threat on the break.
Merthyr did produce a great move on 38 minutes with Adam Davies heading back across goal to Mo Touray, whose near post shot was deflected wide.
