HITCHIN ran out comfortable winners against a Stratford Town side that were looking to bounce back from their late midweek defeat in the FA Cup.
In the early stages the visitors threatened with Jaz Luckie and Ben Stephens looking lively in attack.
The Canaries had the first clear chance as Louis Connor saved from Brett Donnelly. The striker was not to be denied though as he opened the scoring on 18 minutes.
Donnelly’s second on 33 minutes was a classic as he twisted and turned past two defenders before shooting firmly past Connor.
