ROYSTON were the architects of their own downfall, as a cheaply conceded free-kick and a needlessly surrendered penalty saw Chesham leave Garden Walk with the points.
The match was a tight, competitive affair, with Royston taking early control of proceedings. Despite this the home side struggled to create clear sights of goal, with the only real opening seeing John Frendo volleying over, after a slick move involving Adam Marriott and Sam Corcoran.
