CAMERON King shone with two goals on his full debut as the Linnets kept pace with Kettering at the top of the table with a comfortable win.
King’s Lynn opened the scoring on 17 minutes as Michael Gash ran into the box from the left and fired home a cross-shot under very little pressure.
Ryan Hawkins nearly doubled the lead a minute later, but Michael Johnson saved at his feet.
Hitchin struggled to make an impression with their best chance coming as Jonny McNamara cut inside only to shoot wide.
