It took Sam Smart just 56 seconds to open the scoring, seizing on a mistake by Mark Nisbet before rolling the ball into the bottom corner.
Slough soon equalised though, Ben Harris profiting with a tap in after Colm McAdden’s point-blank save.
Harris departed soon after with an injury and the game became more scrappy. Smart lifted an angled volley just over and McAdden saved well from former Basingstoke forward Manny Williams...
