DESPITE losing out to Beaconsfield Town in the race for the Evo-Stik South East title last Saturday, AFC Rushden & Diamonds boss Andy Peaks remained in buoyant mood as he side closed out their promotion-winning season with victory at Hayden Road.
Diamonds had traded blows with Beaconsfield throughout a hard-fought campaign, but had to settle for second place with the Rams winning at Marlow.
