AFTER a summer of upheaval, Met Police are gearing up for their Southern League challenge. The Surrey club were up in arms when they were shifted out of the Isthmian League as part of the summer’s restructuring.
Long-serving boss Jim Cooper immediately walked away as the club launched an ultimately fruitless appeal.
Gavin Macpherson has stepped up from his role as assistant and told the club’s website: “I think we can be an exciting team with an identity, soul and energy to compete in the League.
