A SCORCHING opportunist’s strike from Munash Sundire fired St Ives to a fine triumph over Tamworth at Westwood Road.
After a season of struggle last year and a stuttering pre-season, Ives went into this game as huge underdogs against the much-fancied Lambs.
But a performance of passion and endeavour showed that last year’s strugglers are no longer pushovers.
The game was decided in 51st minute as star man Munash Sundire took full advantage of keeper Jasbir Singh’s mistake.
