BARWELL were able to stop their poor run of form by picking up a point at home to Biggleswade. But they were almost a goal down inside three minutes when visiting striker Matt Ball was played in behind and saw his shot cleared off the line by Brad Gascoigne.
Owen Story almost made amends a few minutes later when he got on the end of Eddy Nisevic’s whipped cross, but his volley flew over the bar from six yards. Biggleswade had further good chances, with Jonny McNamara going close and Tom Smith missing a header at the back post.
