HITCHIN Town achieved their best win of the season against a team one place above them at the foot of the table.
The visitors began strongly and Daniel Sweeney’s remarkable run and shot was saved by Michael Johnson.
But after seven minutes a swift attack on the left saw Callum Coyle score a superb goal for Halesowen with the fiercest of shots.
Hitchin began to get into the game and, once they equalised, they dominated the remainder of the game.
First Sweeney had a narrow miss but in a crowded penalty area Ezra Forde made it 1-1.
