SALISBURY maintained their league challenge with what looked a narrow win over Beaconsfield Town, but the scoreline was not a true reflection of the game.
The Whites started well with both Lewis Benson and Darren Mullings having early chances and they took the lead on 23 minutes when Tom Whelan worked his way across the box before arrowing a right-foot shot which beat visiting keeper Ravan Constable.
The Rams missed their only major chance through Jordan Ajanlekoko and were made to pay when Luke Hopper broke clear before calmly finishing.
