KING’S Lynn and Kettering played out a goalless draw in a hard-fought encounter between the two promotion contenders.
Clear-cut chances were few and far between during a tense 90 minutes in front of Lynn’s biggest crowd of the season of 1,286.
The second-placed Poppies controlled long periods of the first half but after the break it was the Linnets who looked more likely to break the deadlock.
Kettering had the ball in the net midway through the first half but it was ruled out for an offside on Aaron O’Connor.
