AN INJURY-hit Highworth Town showed their mettle to record a third successive victory as Darren Jefferies’ free kick sealed the points in a 1-0 win over Street.
With a raft of defenders out on the treatment table after a flurry of winter fixtures, Highworth were forced to craft a totally new back four for the fixture and they certainly rose to the occasion.
The Worthians went ahead on ten minutes when Jefferies swung in a free kick from the edge of the area into the back of the net and they never looked back as their defence stood tall.
