First a Josh Hawker shot had to be pushed around the post by Tamworth keeper Jas Singh before Robbie Bunn put an effort just the wrong side of the post.
Moments later, Redditch keeper Adam Whitehouse snuffed out a through ball but the visitors had to wait until the final seconds of the half before their best chance.
