TAUNTON kept their diminishing title hopes alive, hanging on to a very early goal for a laboured win.
The Peacocks raced into a first minute lead.
The Poole defence was still in the dressing room when Ryan Brett whipped a free kick behind the back line allowing Andrew Neal plenty of room to whip his shot past Luke Cairney.
Ollie Chamberlain and Matt Buse both had shots blocked, and Matt Wright an offside goal disallowed, as Taunton threatened.
However, Poole got stronger as the half progressed with both Marvin Brooks and Jamie Whisken going close....
