WITH OTHER results going their way, a rare win over local rivals Paulton Rovers took Yate back to the top of the table.
The home side created the best of the chances in the first period with Rovers’ goalkeeper Adam Forster making good saves from Ollie Mehew, Nick Peare and Adam Price.
At the other end, Sam Jordan headed wide before Yate pressure was finally rewarded on 42 minutes, Peare’s low cross from tapped in by Mike Bryant.
