STAINES’ tale of woe continued with another heavy defeat, this time to a Salisbury side who enhanced their play-off prospects.
But it might have been different if Staines had converted a 34th-minute penalty just five minutes after equalising.
Staines fell behind after Daniel Young tapped in a cross from the right on 12 minutes. But they responded well, equalising through Matt Bremford’s maiden goal – the best of the match, a 25-yard screamer.
In a blow to Staines, Bremford had to come off soon afterwards through injury.
