Tiverton stormed into a fifth-minute lead when captain River Allen floated a reverse crossfield free-kick onto defender Mike Landricombe’s head who powered home.
Goalkeeper Lewis Williams was next on the act with a huge punt forward that was taken by the wind and went inches wide.
Allen saw his 45-yard effort also whistle over., while debutant Olaf Koszela then had a delicious cross put behind for a corner.
