Slow starters beaten again

BEACONSFIELD’S slow start to the season continued with a second 3-1 defeat at home in a week, this time at the hands of Farnborough.
Beaconsfield started brightly enough but the visitors took the lead on 14 minutes when Perry Coles’ dipping free-kick was spilled at the far post by Andrew McCorkell in the home goal. The rebound fell kindly for Con nor Cullen to apply the finish.
