A CONTEST not suited for neutrals ended with Gosport Borough overcoming Hendon at Privett Park.
Both teams struggled to break each other down from the off in a bruising battle of wills with neither side enjoying any significant chances.
In fact, the first real action to wake up supporters arrived two minutes before the break with Mike Carter and Connor Calcutt both collecting yellow cards for a heated exchange.
