ROYSTON recorded their first league win of the season but were made to work hard for the points by a determined Hednesford side.
The damage was done by the home side in the first half as the Crows attacked with real fluency. As early as the ninth minute Jonny Edwards was denied as Cameron Gregory saved low down.
It was Royston who opened the scoring shortly afterwards after a good move involving Ed Asafu-Adjaye, Isaac Galliford and Brandon Adams ended with Josh Williams slotting home from close range.
