DESPITE taking the lead, the first ever Southern League game at Wimborne’s brand new “New Cuthbury” stadium ended in disappointment for Magpies’ supporters as Taunton ran out convincing winners.

With 21 minutes on the clock, Aidan Shepherd chased a long ball down Wimborne’s left before colliding with keeper Lloyd Irish and a covering defender. The ball ran free for Lewis Beale to score in the unguarded net.
