KINGS Langley gained their first league win of the season with a performance of character and determination.
Their attitude bore reward as early as the second minute when Louis-Michel Yamfam made a surging right-wing run and pulled the ball back for Alfie Williams, who placed a precise low 25-yard shot beyond the fingertips of Poole goalkeeper Mark Childs.
As the game reached the 35-minute mark, a tussle between Gary Connolly and Corby Moore resulted in a yellow for Connolly and a red for the Dolphins’ player for a retaliatory stamp.
