THIS match was abandoned after 27 minutes following an injury to Tamworth’s Bilal Yafal, who received a head injury after a collision with Hitchin’s Jack Green.
The referee decided to abandon proceedings as they waited for an ambulance to arrive to deal with the stricken Yafal.
In the near half-hour’s play the fans did get to see, Tamworth almost took asecond-minute lead when Ryan Beswick’s free-kick was tapped home by Matthew Stenson, but the linesman had his flag up for offside.
