AT THE tenth attempt, Wimborne recorded their first league win at their brand new stadium – but plucky ten-man Gosport Borough almost spoiled the party.
With 26 minutes played, the hosts took the lead. Lewis Beale cut the ball back from the right by-line for Harry Morgan to score from close.
With the game flowing from end to end, Gosport almost equalised after 38 minutes. Rory Williams’ free-kick from the edge of the penalty box had “goal” written all over it until Alex Cull flung himself to his left to save.
