GOSPORT were able to build on their emphatic 5-0 victory over Salisbury on New Year’s Day with this narrow win.
Mason Walsh’s 67th-minute strike ended Walton Casuals’ run of six league games without defeat on a rainy afternoon.
As the weather held firm in the first 45, so to did both defences.
Gosport saw the best opportunity for an opener when the busy Walsh’s stinging shot was palmed away by Jacob Adams.
