ANOTHER goal from the league’s top scorer, Ben Stephens, helped Barwell clinch their first win of 2022, moving them six points above the relegation zone.
Stephens’ 17th of the season added to Brady Hickey’s early penalty meant that Barwell frustrated ten-man Leiston, much to the delight of their manager, Guy Hadland.
“We thoroughly deserved the win,” he said.
“They’re a really good team but we forced them into errors and did a job on them today.”
