Stratford battle on without Flowers

MANAGERLESS Stratford Town put a difficult week behind them with a morale boosting victory that dented Leiston’s fading play-off hopes.
First-half goals from Melis Bushaj and Daniel Lafferty put the Bards in control before Leroy Lita’s sending off and George Quantrell’s late strike briefly raised Leiston’s hopes of salvaging a point.
The victory was the perfect tonic for Stratford after the departure of manager Tim Flowers, whose four-month spell in Town’s dugout came to an abrupt end on Thursday.
