THE Peacocks kept themselves in the promotion mix with a crucial victory over fellow hopefuls Chesham, who can count themselves unfortunate not to claim something from the contest.
The visitors nearly made an ideal start from the kick-off when Conrad Lucan drilled just over, but it was the hosts who made the breakthrough after 17 minutes when Ben Adelsbury got on the end of a Lloyd James freekick to steer his header past Sam Beasant.
