TEN-MAN Hitchin held on to earn a much-needed point from promotion hopefuls Alvechurch.
Midfielder James Peters was given his marching orders midway through the first half of what proved to be a drab affair.
The Canaries started the game the better of the two sides and went close after five minutes when Leon Phillips tipped Rio Dasilva’s cross over the bar.
