DORCHESTER ground out a vital away win with the winning goal coming from ex-Portsmouth man Alfie Stanley.
The Whites started the game brightly but, as so often, could not turn early superiority into goals. Dorchester looked nervous and clearly put emphasis on defence and containment given they did not have their first shot until 30 minutes.
For Salisbury’s best chances fell to Abdulai Bell Baggie and Devon Arnold who fired over and hit the side netting.
Town started the second half with much more urgency and enjoyed good pressure.
