A LATE scramble decided this battle of the Canaries as ten-man Barwell’s half-time lead got wiped out by Hitchin.
Substitute Finley Wilkinson got the decider a minute from the end, heading in the loose ball during an almighty battle in the box after Barwell had cleared an initial effort off the line.
It was a cruel finish to a contest which flowed and had openings at both ends, but the hosts will undoubtedly wonder what might have been had Kyle Rowley not seen red for clashing with Stephen Gleeson on the stroke of half-time.
