CHESHAM sub Bradley Clayton provided a rare moment of quality in a soporific encounter.
Last season’s top scorer and player of the season came on shortly before half-time and danced through the visitors’ defence after 48 minutes to score the game’s only goal.
Most of the first half was almost totally devoid of incident as both sides hit the ball too long.
Chesham’s Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick had a couple of early efforts, but failed to test goalkeeper Adam Desbois.
