MERTHYR Town took all three points back to Wales thanks to a late goal in an even contest where the odd goal was always going to win it.
The first chance fell to Plymouth Parkway’s Jack Crago after four minutes, only for the Merthyr defence to clear off the line.
The half settled down into a game where neither side looked to take too many risks and it was Merthyr who created the next chance which needed some brave defending from the home side to keep the scores level.
