A SUBLIME second half showing saw Basford United beat previously unbeaten Leiston.
The impressive Gregg Smith powered home a thumping header just before the hour before Ben Starkie sealed the win deep into stoppage time. Riece Bertram was dismissed for the hosts midway through the second period in the only blip.
In a dull first half – dominated by the visitors – the best chance came when Will Davies poked wide under pressure from Stern Irvine before a wicked freekick was flicked wide by Finlay Barnes.
