JOSH Carmichael’s glorious goal direct from a free-kick helped Poole return to winning ways at the expense of Merthyr. His strike midway through the second half completed a comeback by the Dolphins that felt far away following a swift start by the home team.
They might have breathed easier had Luke Pardoe’s cross crept in rather than strike the crossbar with time running out, or had Corby Moore’s shot at the end of a mazy dribble been more accurate.
