WITH Derby County’s U21s inactive for three weeks, the Rams sent out a handful of players on loan on Friday and this fixture hinged on the contrasting fortunes of two of them.
While Mickleover newcomer George Nunn celebrated a debut strike less than half-an-hour after coming off the bench, 18-year-old keeper Alfie Roberts – an emergency Barwell signing after the midweek sending off of Andy Wycherley against Gainsborough Trinity – missed a George Ward back-pass in the 51st minute to gift the visitors a two-goal advantage.
