WESTON-SUPER-MARE secured all three points with a fine win in South Wales.
Jordan Bastin was on hand to break the deadlock six minutes in when he raced onto a Reuben Reid pass with the outside of his foot, the Seagulls No.11 cutting inside onto his left foot and firing an attempt past Jamie Cogman in the Merthyr goal to make it 1-0.
A second was to follow when Dayle Grubb played a one-two with Marlon Jackson to put the captain in on goal, and he calmly slotted his attempt past Cogman for 2-0.
